SHREE KRISHNA EDUCATIONAL TRUST
Shree Krishna Educational trust was started in the year 1997.Since many students opt for conventional degree courses which leaves them with a degree and an uncertain future, the main aim behind the formation of the trust was to sponsor professional colleges which would give quality education to the students and also make them eligible for a job at the end of their studies. As a first step for achieving this aim, the Shree Krishna Educational Trust started a professional college in the field of Hospitality Science called Karaavali Catering College which is affiliated to Mangalore University.

Bachelor of Hospitality Science (B.H.S)
Duration of the course: 3 years

Eligibility for addmission
A Pass in Pre-university examination/PDC/10+2 or any other examination considered equivalent by Mangalore university in any discipline (Arts, Science, commerce). 
The candidates who have passed the above qualifying examinations privately should pass the entrance test conducted by Mangalore University and produce entrance certificate at the time of admission.
Before applying, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the criteria laid down by the Mangalore University as regards eligibility for admission for this course.

Medium of instruction
The medium of instruction and examination for B.H.S Degree shall be English.

Attendance
The candidate shall be considered to have satisfied the requirement of attendance for the year if he/she attends not less than 75 % of the number of classes actually conducted in each of the subjects. (in theory and practical separately ) The candidate who does not satisfy the requirement of attendance even in one subject shall not be permitted to write the University Examination.

Internal Assessment
20% of the total marks of each subjects in theory and practical is set apart for internal assessment . A student is assessed on the basis of the performance in periodical tests, assignment, performance in the practical and record book.

Criteria for Passing 
A minimum of 40% in theory and practical separately is required to pass in the university examinations.
